Above are some photos from the 2nd edition of the French MarkLogic User Group, held last Tuesday in Paris. Thirty-five people gathered to discuss MarkLogic implementation examples as part of a series of four presentations.  The first presentation was done by Ron Avnur, MarkLogic VP of Engineering, who was attending his first MarkLogic User Group. Ron presented a sample of MarkLogic customer use cases as well as some of the latest MarkLogic Server features.

The second presentation was done by Vincent MAS from Lagardere Active. He presented the Digital Factory project, a highly interesting MarkLogic implementation. We had the chance to view and hear some unique archives such as Appollo 11 landing on the Moon.

The third presentation was done by Gregory CORONA and Yoann BLOT from 4Dconcept. They presented GeoLab, a prototype that implements MarkLogic's geospatial functionnality. GeoLab prooves by A+B that geospatial query are easy and powerful to perform with MarkLogic, even with a fully custom-made search area such as a polygone. The use-case is based on the well-known Tour de France.

Finally, Mathieu Parisot, MarkLogic technical leader at 4Dconcept presented the different resources available for MarkLogic developers.
