MarkLogic Express
Free Software for Enterprising Developers!
- One developer
- One computer
- Two CPUs
- 100GB data
The Express license is for individual developers. It is limited to use on one computer with at most 2 CPUs and can hold up to 100GB of content. It includes options that make sense on a single computer (geospatial, alerting, conversion) and does not include options intended for clusters or enterprise usage (e.g., replication).
How do you get one? After you download, install, and start up MarkLogic, browse to the admin interface and request an Express license directly from within the interface.
There are a few restrictions:
- It may not be used in concert with any other licensed copy of MarkLogic Server.
- It is specifically not for work on U.S. Federal Government programs.
- You can't use multiple copies of Express to make your own cluster.
- You can't run multiple production copies of Express for the same application.
- A single copy of Express can't be shared by a team of developers.
