DemoJam

XML Prague is the first stop on MarkLogic's 2011 Worldwide DemoJam Circuit!

If you're attending the conference, please join us Saturday evening at St. Norbert, Strahov Brewery.  For those who haven't witnessed the geek-ery that is DemoJam, it's pretty simple:

We provide the microphone and the projector (and wifi). You provide the laptop and the demo. You get five minutes (that's 300 seconds, no more) to demo almost anything you want, as long as you can reasonably claim that there's some XML in there somewhere (no sales or marketing pitches please). Presentation, showmanship (or showwomanship) and style count for a lot. (Past winners have even been able to talk right over 500 errors and still win!)  We'd love to see some XQuery and maybe even MarkLogic Server (you could use the free Community License, for example), but that's not necessary.

Demo slots are limited and will be handed out first come, first serve.  Find Norm Walsh (@ndw), Jason Hunter (@hunterhacker), or me (Eric Bloch, @eedeebee) at the conference to get your name on the list.

Judging is by audience participation: if you make the crowd cheer the loudest, you win.

The winner walks away with an iPad2.
