Simple question but I can't seem to figure it out..

I have a range called "created" set up on a dateTime element and I want to query all documents that are greater than a specific created date.  But the following query only gives me the documents EQUAL to this dateTime.  Is there a syntax in the stringQuery which allows me to specify all documents greater than or less than this dateTime?

/search?stringQuery=created:2012-01-01T00:00:00.00Z
