This is a new install? The easiest fix would be to stop the server,
delete the entire data directory, and start the server again. That
should allow you to re-enter the first-time configuration process.

When you reinstall, I recommend leaving the authentication realm at its
default value ('public', I think). There's rarely much reason to change it.

Note that deleting the data directory will delete all of your CIS
databases, forests, configuration information, and logs. But if you're
trying to install for the first time, that isn't important.

The location of the data directory varies by operating system:

Windows: C:/Program Files/Mark Logic CIS/Data
Linux: /var/opt/MarkCIS
Solaris: /var/opt/MARKcis

Hope that helps.
