[XQZone General] Question 1

I checked with the good folks at Stylus Studio. The current version of SS XML Enterprise Edition does not support the 3.0 ML XDBC server.  They had a pre-release working in time for the User's Conference, but I received confirmation this morning that the production release is still a week or so away.  - DR

On StylusStudio Professional all the JAR files are in the bin folder. Did
you try to drop the latest XDBC driver in there and see what happen ?

Raffaele - I just downloaded the Enterprise version of Stylus Studio and the
Mark Logic Server is an available processor type in the Processor tab of the
Scenario properties dialog.

But... It looks like the XDBC client in SS 66 is 2.2-6 and it doesn't play
nice with the 3.0 ML XDBC server. When I try to run a simple query against
the ML processor, I get the error message below:

com.marklogic.xdbc.XDBCXQueryException: XDMP-XDBCVER: XDBC client version is
incompatible with server: client version: MarkXDBC/2.2-6 in /eval

Do we need to wait for a Stylus Studio patch to fix this incompatibility or
can judicious munging of CLASSPATH (getting SS to use an XDBC 3.0 jar file)
fix this problem?

Which version of Stylus Studio supports MarkLogic XDBC ?
I downloaded the trial for the professional edition but there is no
Marklogic anywhere in the XQuery processor configuration.

The options are Builtin, Saxon 8.4, External and Custom. And if I select
external the only option is some local port for Stylus to listen on.

Is the support for XDBC only in the Enterprise edition ?

Also, but I should send this to the Stylus guys, I tried to access my
database on the 3.0 server (that currently contains only a couple of *.xqy
files and a folder with an image) and when I removed the filter for *.xml
files only Stylus crashed ):

Oh well!
