OK, will do. Unforutnately my laptop (my only Windows machine, where my 
ML server resides) is going back to the HP depot tomorrow for 
replacement of the backlight, so it may be a week or two before I'm able 
to test this one.

Meanwhile I'll talk to Slava Pestov (the lead jEdit dev) about the best 
way to do error recovery in this situation so that chained exceptions 
are more visible.
