The calendar methods actually works without the events, and there are a few
useful date manipulation methods in the code.
I didn't had too much time to work on the event stuff, so it's not very well
defined yet.
But I'll add a few notes and check it in.

That sounds like an excellent addition to the new
XQuery Commons project. Does anyone have any code that
that handles this or similar tasks? I'll bet there's
a lot of generally useful date-handling code that could
be shared.
Also, do you want to add your calendar code to the
Commons project? I took a quick look at it but didn't
see any description of your events.xml document structure
or any other usage information. If/when you're ready,
please drop it into the "dates" subdirectory. Thanks.
