Try xdmp:save(). Depending on your security settings, you may need to
use an amp to access it. But if you're just running everything as
admin, it will work.

I've seen the previous post about getting documents from the local file
system on the server where MarkLogic is installed; however, I'd like to
know if there's any method available for writing files as well. If
there isn't, is there a way to initiate a local program on the server
such as an executable or java class, etc.? Thanks.
