[MarkLogic Dev General] WebDAV server problem

Marina,

WebDAV problems can be tough to troubleshoot, but here are some ideas.

The Explorer program is not a WebDAV client: it is an HTTP client. This
is confusing, since Windows uses the 'http' prefix for both WebDAV and
HTTP. For a WebDAV connection, use "Network Places" > "Add Network Place".

If you still see an error, note that the Windows WebDAV client does not
display useful error messages. I'd recommend that you set the "log
errors" option in your WebDAV server. Then try to connect (using a
Network Place, not Explorer). After getting the error message, check
ErrorLog.txt for any log messages.

Finally, your WebDAV server root should match up with your URI
privilege, shouldn't it? I'd change the root to also be '/docs/', or
change the URI privilege be "http://localhost/pim/docs/".

I hope this helps.
