[MarkLogic Dev General] misc question about developer hardware

Hi,

at the recent MLUC '09 I noticed a number of Mark Logic people
seemingly using Macintosh computers for their work.  Given that Mark
Logic is available for Redhat, Sun and Windows OS, I wonder what's
going on?  Remote connexion to a server, probably not.  Virtual
machine, maybe?  If so, any discolosure of the setup used?
VirtualBox, Parallels, Redhat, Vista?
