The cpf:error property is filled in in the case where
cpf:failure is called with an exception argument. It is
cleared when there is an explicit transition for a state
and it executes successfully. So if you call cpf:failure
without an exception, or if you handle something in the
error state, or if you just transition to the error
state via on-success, then you won't have a cpf:error
