Thanks for the response Will,
In Query Console while logged in as admin, I tried this for a query for
'cat' that I know gives results:

/*for $x in cts:search(//top-song, "cat")
let $p := xdmp:document-get-permissions($x)
return $p*/

I got, "your query returned an empty sequence"

If the query is correct does this mean there are no permissions?

Note that when logged in as admin and I use something like this with "doc":

/*doc(songs/Kesha+Tik-Tok.xml)*/

in Query Console against the same database I get the document back.
Any help appreciated,
Thanks,
Randy
