Apologies in advance for the short notice. I'd like to invite you to the next meeting of the Northern Virginia Mark Logic Users Group (NOVA MUG) next Tuesday, February 23rd at 6:30PM at FGM (12021 Sunset Hills Road, Suite 400, Reston). We will be discussing Mark Logic's cloud deployment options with Clark Richey, Jr, Principal Technologist, Federal and Community Champion at Mark Logic. Pizza and beverages will be provided.
In this presentation Clark will explain Mark Logic's new cloud deployment options and describe how they are being used today within the Mark Logic development community. He will demonstrate instantiating a MarkLogic AMI live on Amazon EC2 and talk about best practices for using MarkLogic on the EC2 platform. Finally, a preview of planned cloud-related product enhancements will be provided. This is a great opportunity to provide feedback and influence the cloud computing initiative at Mark Logic.
About the speaker:
Clark has spent the last 10+ years architecting and developing large scale systems for various government clients. He is also a Java Champion and an associate professor at Loyola University. Clark has a B.S. in Computer Science from U.M.U.C. and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from American University.
