MarkLogic is now officially supported on Kubernetes. Kubernetes is an open-source system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. With Kubernetes, you can easily deploy and manage MarkLogic clusters on any cloud platform or on-premises environment.

MarkLogic provides a Helm chart that simplifies the installation and configuration of MarkLogic on Kubernetes. Helm is a package manager for Kubernetes that allows you to define, install, and upgrade applications using charts. A chart is a collection of files that describes the resources needed to run an application on Kubernetes.

With the MarkLogic Helm chart, you can:

  • Deploy a MarkLogic cluster with multiple groups and hosts.
  • Configure security settings such as SSL and the admin password.
  • Enable log collection using Fluentd.
  • Add and remove hosts from clusters dynamically.
  • Access the MarkLogic Server service using ClusterIP or port forwarding.

The MarkLogic GitHub repository contains detailed documentation, tutorials, and examples to help you set up your environment and deploy your first MarkLogic cluster on Kubernetes. Get started today.
